Message I have no history on the Z's, but in the Toyota MR2 Spyder, ( Mid engine, rear drive, NA ), the Metal Cats will melt out due the the Heat and proximity to the Engine, This was a Non turbo Application with the AFR's in the low 13's, on the track. DD's do not apear to have this problem if not pushed.. The Ceramic took the heat, but was a little more restrictive.. that is what we ended up using on the track car, and it stayed in.
I have no history in a Z Application..
